Training and Intervention
Our clinic provides highly effective non-medication approaches in managing and reducing ADHD symptoms.
Social Skills Training
Children with ADHD are often sociable but their impulsivity, inattention, low tolerance of frustration and lack of awareness of non-verbal cues pose challenges for them to make friends and behave appropriately in social situations. Their behaviors can lead to rejection by their peers with in turn affect the child’s confidence and self-esteem. Our clinic offers a Social Skills Training program in a group setting to help children with ADHD to:
-
Identify emotional and non-verbal cues
-
Understand the perspective of others
-
Foster confidence and self-esteem
-
Increase patience and tolerance
-
Regulate their own emotions
-
Reduce impulsivity in social interactions
-
Resolve conflicts
ADHD children who participate in such training can develop more satisfactory relationships with their peers. ADHD children are indeed fun to be with.
