Neurofeedback Therapy

"Neurofeedback therapy" is an advanced and non-invasive treatment. The recipient learns to regulate his/her own brain waves through real-time brain wave information feedback.

Its purpose is to achieve coordination, balance and proper regulation of one’s brain waves identified in dysregulated areas of the brain associated with presenting concerns.  This improves the information communication and efficiency of the local neural networks of the brain.

Clinical psychologists start with a clinical interview to assess the presenting concerns. In turn this is followed with the use of advanced "brain mapping" technology to identify atypical/abnormal brain wave patterns. Such patterns are often indicators of brain dysregulation that can be associated with presenting concerns. Others may be a sign of the brain trying to compensate for the dysregulation.
