Services for International Students and Boarding Youth
Teenagers/students leaving their home and social circle for the first time to study abroad find themselves in the position of having to adapt to life without their parents being immediately present for support. Under such circumstances it is not unusual for some young people to be vulnerable to depression, anxiety and other emotional problems. This is because they are overwhelmed with so many changes in such a short period of time. In turn this becomes a major obstacle affecting their performance in all aspects of study and daily life.
Our clinical psychologists will not only help students and parents by providing counseling, consultation, and assessment, but also, as needed, contact the student’s school so that the school and its teachers can come to understand better their student’s individual situation and needs. This opens the door to deeper understanding and the opportunity to provide appropriate support on the path to success.
If you or your family members encounter any of the above situations, please feel free to contact us. We will arrange for you to communicate with our iPsychologists so that you can get timely counseling and treatment.
